Last night, I went to Albert Au's concert as a guest. I've known Albert for so long and I think this is the first time that I've sung with him on stage!

Only when reading your messages did i discover i haven't made an appearance in HK for a long time, the last time was IFPI awards a month ago. Later I have to go to TV station to practice.

Hacken Lee - Places In His Heart

Cafe

(the place that he eats at, i think it's a cafe.)
Hacken: I really do like cafes. The place, i really
like it myself. You do not need to wear elegant
clothes or maybe dress up really nice. The food from
the cafe, maybe each person who goes would order
pineapple buns, milk tea, daan taat(egg tart),
examples like that. The atmosphere, I really like it.
Maybe it's because everytime i go to the cafe, it
would be in the morning. So you would notice the
people in the cafe, everyone won't care about you. Each
person is doing their own things. Maybe sitting at a
table, there are some people you dont know. But maybe
everyone is reading the newspaper. The feeling is very
comfortable. Do you believe me that one time i went to
the cafe, I brought my two dogs along? Right now,
everyone who sees the cafe in this album, when i was
this tall, a couple years old, i started going to that
cafe. Because i remember, when i was little, i lived
at Pau Ma Tei. So every week, there is one day my
family would bring me to this cafe to eat. Everytime i
go back there, there is different feelings and would
remember some moments. For example, i remember i
brought my dogs there. I sat here and my dog sat here.
We were all eating bread. I remember when i was
little, i really liked to drink milk tea. But
everytime i finished drinking the milk tea, after ten
minutes, i would need to go home because i need to go
to the restroom. Dont know if you have this problem? I
remember the time when i go to the cafe frequently is
when i was filming. Usually, after filming over night,
i must go there, drink a cup of milk tea and eat a bun
before i go home. Then i can fall asleep. If you need
to find something to describe you, a moment or item,
right now i can tell you that i think of a cafe and
Hacken Lee. The music or product i make, i hope it is
like a cafe, like the logo, kind of like mainland,
kind of like hong kong. But honestly, foods from a
cafe cannot be said as high class like a country wide
hotel. But in some circumstances, it can fulfill many
people's expectation. I also hope in the future, maybe
i can create a successful cafe.

Hill Top

I remember when i was little, every saturday morning,
i would go to the top of the hill. The park on the
hill can be said as a place i would not forget, the
moments there. I remember when i was in elementary
school, 8 out of 10 vacations, i spent at the park on
the hill. When i was little in second grade, i fell
and broke my arm. It happened at the park on the hill.
I was very naughty that i, on a slide as long as a
giraffe's neck, slide down. But because we were not
old enough, a teacher would be near the bottom to help
us. Everyone would slide down and our teacher would
catch us. At that time, i was very brave. I felt that
if i slide down and let the teacher catch me, i would
not look cool. So i slid down half way and jumped
down. Of course you cant do that, so the result was
resting in the hospital for a while, put on a cast,
and everyone would notice that my arm can be bent
farther back. Next time when you notice this incident,
dont ask my why. The park on the hill has a lot of my
leg hair(meaning he's been there many times). No
matter if it was the leg hair when i was in my teenage
year or right now in my thirties. I really like to
bring my dogs there. When i used to live with my
family, i didnt think about buying a dog. But
everytime, you know how small hong kong is, so every
week we would try to bring my dogs go jogging, make
them stretch. Also, my dogs at home is not very brave,
so we would have to go in the morning. Because if you
go there in the afternoon, German Shepards, Bull Dogs
would be there. So if you want some quiet and calm
times, right when the sky is getting bright, about 6
to 7 o'clock, would be a good time. At some
circumstances, dogs are like your own children. When
you see them running around, really happy, you would
remember that ohhh... when i was little, my mom took
me up there, seeing me running around, they were
really happy. It was fun. Right now, it is definitely
different. I would bring my four dogs there to play,
the ask my mom to come, my mom would bring me, the
feeling is like different gender doing the same thing.
It's so fun.

School

School is a...., i think to many people, it is a place
we will remember in our hearts. I remember at school,
there was a tree, right now, everyone will see it in
this album. That tree, when i was in school, i felt it
had god spirit. That tree is in the middle, right when
you walk in the school. It is kept really nice.
Although, till today, i dont know what kind of tree it
is. But a place with god spirit means that each
student is not allow to walk near the tree. Usually,
in a couple year, only about two times, we are
allowed. It is when you are about to graduate and need
to seriously take a picture. You would take it hugging
the tree. So this time, i get to take a picture of the
tree for this album, i feel proud.

When i was in
school most of the time, besides reading, i would play
soccer. I remember everyday, really early in the
morning, 30 minutes before school startes, we would go
to school. We dont need to let each other know, about
that time, everyone would go to school and play
soccer. At a big cemented soccer field, about four to
five teams, at the same time, at the same soccer
field, everyone is competing. Think about the
situation. There are four goals and everyone is
receiving the ball. Then all of a sudden you are
running, BOANG! on the right, there is a soccer ball
coming that another team is playing. But everyone is
wearing a uniform. But the most weirdest thing is that
everyone is wearing the same uniform, wearing the same
tie, wearing the same white shirt, black pants. But
can figure out who is on who's team. Ahh.. i dont know
why, maybe because when we were little, our memory was
extra good. so everyone knows it clearly. Every
morning, we'd be really sweaty after playing.
Everyone's shirts stick to the skin, then becomes
visible, showing body parts. That feeling is, if it
was in the summer, it would be good. I have done many
things i am not suppose to do at school. For example,
sleep during class, put up a book but ate instant
noodles behind it, hid under a desk and played cards.
I remember one time, something like (some kind of
chemical water and combine it with somthing), you
light it up, wahh...it explodes, all on fire, like a
fire ball. Everyone is scared, so we threw it out the
window. Ahh..but the window was half open, so it
couldnt roll down. So it made the window explode. it
bot only made the window explode, the fire didnt go
out. It rolled, rolled, rolled, and rolled down to the
bottom. Seeing that it has already burned the grass
around it. So my classmates and i, went somewhere to
get brooms to stop the fire. Thankfully we stopped it
quickly. Or else, everyone wont be able to see me
today, recording for my new album at my school.

Everytime when i go back to school, the feeling is
cute. In the past, i feel like i am part of the
school. Bur right now, when i go back, teachers who
used to punish you, hit your hand, punish you to
stand, punish you when you dont turn in your homework,
but right now, their identity might be different. we
are like friends and chat. mayeb talk about things in
the past because i used to be a student. But right
now, ive grown and became a man, very handsome. So
when i go back, i treasure or maybe enjoy it. A place
that would give me many feelings.


TVB Makeup/Dressing Room

Once i think about what i need to pick, things in my
life, a very important or places that i have many
memories of, i feel that i cannot exclude TVB's makeup
room. Because the first time i enter TVB till now, i
have gone through it many, many time. Everyone usually
sees a lot of people, wahh...this person is blowing
their hair, that person is doing an interview, then
this person is putting on making, then some assistants
who are busy, artists also. seems like they are really
fustrated and busy. I feel there is a northern(dont
really know how to translate this) feeling. You would
always feel that wah...this tv station is rich like
very updated, very fustrated and busy. Everybody is
using this makeup room. But in my life, the impression
or feelin it gives me that is very deep inside is
actually when no one is in the makeup room. When you
see nobody is in the makeup room, it must not be
early(meaning it should be really late). At least at
about 1-2 o'clock you would see nobody in the makeup
room. Usually, it's after a show or maybe filming for
a series really late. Some take off their make up. You
would notice a really sad feeling. When you are the
only one left in the TVB makeup room, all you can hear
is some noise. That feeling is in one life, is the
most saddest moment. TVB's makeup room can actually
see things in life. Only looking at artists, you
notice every seat is being sitted by each artist can
make up a picture. You would see some artist who has
their own choice, sitting by yourself, putting makeup
on his him, doing hair is him, reading movie lines is
him, nobody helping him. On the other hand, you might
feel that some artist, wahhh...do you need that many
people to help you? Or maybe you would notice some
artist who get there, will find a spot to sit. But
when some artists go there, "can i pick that room, can
i use that room?" they have to put themselves in this
small space, dont know what they have that cannot let
people see. It's cute. The most cutest thing is when
you are at some big show, there will be many of those
kind of artists. You will notice there is only one
room. So what should they do? I dont know what to do.
Maybe they will fight, whoever wins will have the
room. It's kind of cute. Do you believe me go fighting
too?

About The Album

In this album, we newly recorded many old songs.
Before, i heard (someone's album) who sang his/her old
songs. It caused me to listen to some Hacken Lee songs
i havent heard in a while. The first feeling is,
wahh...i used to sing pretty not well. Even told
people you are a talented artist. At that time, for
example, (sorry about any wrong song names) Concert
City Hall, At night music, She wants to break up,
etc.etc.etc. They are songs that need a person who is
in their (age) thirties not twenties to sing. Also
when some lyrices are this dude, twenty years old, go
write (lyrics from a song) "sew sew sop sop....."
Twenty years old, dont even know what "jik lew" is.
But it's just at that time, i see people like this, o
wrote this kind of lyrics or maybe see some elders
perform some mature love music. So i took some from
here, took some from there, copied some from there,
and putted them together performing that group of Love
songs that Hacken Lee knows. This time, having another
chance to perform again, i dont hope that every song
because we need to re-record it, because we need to
re-compose it, to purposely make a new album very
different. It used to be like this and all of a sudden
you change it like wahhh....seems like you are good.
So this time, instead of adding many different
instruments, we subtracted instruments. For example,
we would use a simple guitar music, hoping we can
bring out a different taste of the song. But some
songs are pretty cute like (heart heart heart) "Sum,
sum, sum" that song, i feel that it's from a romantic
slow song being changed to what everyone hears a tango
style. This song, i feel it is a song that can be
changed dramatically. But for some, we want to keep
it's usual taste. But maybe it's used by another
instrument keeping the same taste, but different
instrument. In this album, there is a deut with Alan.
Everytime when i need help, everytime when i need him,
he would call me instantly. For example, last time,
changed company, told him to write me a song. He can
quickly give me a "One Life Think Of You." So this
time, "Red Sun" this song needs a friend to sing with
me, dont need to talk, he promised me. At night, when
you are sleeping on your pillow and you think about
