Since the beginning of PLL, Ian has inspired me to no extent. He’s intelligent, he reads, cares for the environment, loves his family, and reciprocates the love he receives from fans. Recently, I’ve been a lot more motivated to make a difference in the world. I cannot begin to express and thank Ian for the change that he has made in my life. He retweets articles that I would have never thought I’d be interested in, and he’s often tweeting fans when online. It’s truly inspiring. It’s incredible to see a bright, mature, appealing actor on a show aimed for teens. He never ceases to amaze me. I hope to see him in many future projects. At least its a unique love story...
I read the book and was disappointed with the movie. But my friend, who hasn't read it, thought it was ok. I wish they had focused on only the most important
parts/characters instead of trying 2 squeeze in too much, too fast. Not enough time 4 much character development. But I did like the Ian parts...jake did the best with the few scenes that he had.
It's nice to see the characters and story come to life. But of course the book was much better, so go read the book after you watch the movie!

How dare them to put that ugly actress to play my dear Pet/Wanda, I was looking for someone like Anna Sophia Robb, not that weird-face thing. I feel so insulted by that selection. So, so sad.
.......I hate her not just cuz she looks weird, but cuz she's not a good actress and has been in several sexist movies. Ughhhhhhh. And what's wrong with wanting a pretty actress 4 the role. Jake and max and Melanie r all pretty so why shouldn't pet,Wanda be pretty too!!!

I agree with you, as fans of the book, me and my wife were so excited to see it in the screen. The previews seemed amazing as well! And then we watched it, and I was so mad I could've walked out, I kept hoping somehow they would do something to redeem it, but no such luck. The characters were terribly underdeveloped, the plot was rushed through and the story was lost in that whirlwind. We are utterly disappointed at this half-assed attempt at this beautiful story and appalled to see Stephenie Meyer listed as a producer with such a butchering of her wonderful story.
Kudos to the actors and performances, they portrayed the essence of the book. If the script wasn't a total failure, it could've been the memorable movie the book deserves.

I didn't read the book first and I really enjoyed the movie. I hear it's a bit disappointing to those who read the book first so I'm glad I didn't. Now that I've seen the movie I'll have to go out and read the book to see what all the disappointment is about.

i didn't read the book. when i saw the trailer i thought that it was cool, i love alien movie... but when i saw the movie, oh my God, please give me back the 125 minutes of my life plus my money, sooo waste of time. saoirse ronan is very good though.
