i arrived in beijing in the afternoon on 7th august. although i have been to beijing so many times, however it feels different this time. the whole city is in an "olympic" mood, posters and banners with olympic slogans can be found everywhere, all the workers /helpers /volunteers were polite, wearing a smile on their face always, enthusiastic in helping us in every aspect (or when there are problems) and they can even speak english fluently! in addition the number of cars on the roads have been minimized, the air quality is also better now...a little bit (haha!) , the breath-taking Bird's Nest and Water Cube, even at the place where we work, IBC, the canteen food is pretty good too, traffic, even the accomodation is superb. the only thing is that the internet access at the media village is pretty inconvenient and the rates are really expensive, that's why i can only update my blog when i return to HK!
On the 8th was present to watch the opening ceremony, felt extremely excited! china has finally done it! no matter where u are watching it live or on tv, u should feel satisfied, after the show that night, i asked a lot of foreigners who were staying in the media village like me, a vast majority used the same english phrase to describe~AMAZING!
Being a chinese person (part of china), at that moment, i felt really proud! of course, i took lots of pictures, will gradually upload them here as well as hackenleenet.com to share with everyone.

july 1: Will be a host at the Olympics again!

the above pictures are from last sunday's TVB press conference. time really flies. the olympics is just a few months away, being chinese, being able to be one of the hosts at the coming olympics, i'm extremely honoured, especially on 8th august, i will be reporting live at the opening ceremony of the olympics, WOW!!!

talking about the opening ceremony, actually i have reported live before at the 96 games in atlanta, but i believe that the feeling will be different this time, it will be even even even more exciting, its our own territory! really looking forward to it!

this time i will be staying in beijing for 4 to 5 days, its not what the newspapers has reported, 3 wks, i will be mainly reporting the news for the first few days, after that will be back in hong kong to continue with the recording for the new album. as for whether i will return to beijing again, or will just remain in hong kong to report (about the beijing olympics) , it all depends on how fast the recording goes.

june 23 : Qunhao clothesline

i have been working with "Qunhao clothes-ware" for a few years, i'm very happy to be able to be the spokesperson. actually in the recent years i have been helping them in some photoshoots, and also a TVC advertisement. i believe a lot of fans in the mainland have already seen it before. last wednesday we went to Da Ya Wan for the winter-ware photoshoot, later on u guys will be able to see these photos at :

last week was really enriching for me, besides the photoshoot for "Qunhao", also filmed the TVB promo for the olympics, watched Kelly's concert, and also sang "ai yi ge ren" (at kelly's concert) without rehearsing, of course...i m extremely happy for her la !
On top of that, i have also asked a techinician from APPLE regarding mainland fans having trouble accessing this website, they told me that indeed it will be a little bit slower. this is because to reach mainland it has to first pass through hongkong then taiwan and finally will it be able to reach apple..., all fans in mainland....u guys can only....be more patient !
So...really thx 4 coming !

how did i celebrate today?
actually, there was nothing special, i think it's about the same as yours. went to eat buffet in the afternoon, haha, sometimes i like the feeling of having a buffet, where there are tons of different delicious food placed in front of you. after eating, was at home the whole time with my parents.

the feeling of being a father and celebrating father's day for the first time is just normal (okay...nothing special he thinks.. LOL), i'm waiting for Ryan to become older, when he starts talking and could call me (daddy...) or maybe even draw a picture for me! i believe it would be a better father's day then, perhaps, next yr!

For the past week i was in macau, busy preparing for the concert, band rehersal, practicing the dance steps, meetings and many more. it seems like the beginning of this year all over again (when he had to prepare for his concert in hk ). the concert in macau this time should be pretty fun, a large portion of the band members will be present, it's really original (as in similar to the HK one). hope that the fans in macau, mainland china, and of course those from hong kong who specifically came over to watch, will be happy and excited.
actually i have already done a p/c at the venetian resort , the organisation even gave me a Scholes jersey, but i have yet to send it back to hongkong.

I am home already.
The concert was going smooth last night, saw so many fans, no matter if you are from Macau, the Mainland or Hong Kong, all of you were coming to my show even in the heavy rain, thanks so much. Because of terrible traffic jam and security check, all of the audience had to come to the show late and we had to start the show at 8.40pm, finally ending at 11.30pm (the organiser actually wanted us to end the show by 11.00pm), of course wanted everybody to enjoy it till the end!

Today was really busy. Early in the morning at 10am, I had to record a promotion for the legislative council for September 7. In the afternoon, I made time to attend the fundraising event, after that I had to go for band rehearsal to rehearse with over 40 musicans for June 7's Macau concert (for a few days running, i've had to dance and rehearse). Hence, I could not stay till the end.

Originally, when the DJs sang "Red Day" in the afternoon, I was on standby to appear after they sang half of the song. However, the wrong mmo was played..and the song was cut off...never mind, it's the thought that counts.

These few days i believe that many hong kong artistes are occupied with many different fundraising events, so am i, what ever it is if we have money we can donate generously otherwise we can try to help in many other different ways, i know that many fan club members have made donations, thank you everyone for responding to the fan club's action- to raise funds. On saturday night's TVB donation drive, actually i was already scheduled to appear at around 11pm, because i had to do a show in shenzhen, also as TVB was afraid that i would not be able to rush back in time, they did not arrange for me to sing any song, in the end when it was just before the news broadcast, i briefly sang a few sentences of "hong yat" (red sun), however probably because they had not much time to inform eric, that's why people thought that i would be appearing after the news!
