Yesterday 10:00 am arrived at SF, this came SF is helps” the family bridge” to raise funds again, met us in yesterday's reporter also” again” the visitation” the family bridge” father-in-law mother-in-law, I already had engaged actually in the similar activity two years ago, also has said in here, therefore in the feeling all people and the matter were very kind.

7 late SF show is quite special, because is raises funds the show relations, we do not have budget to bring dancers, sound man, FM, but also has the different post staff not to be able to come, therefore some places really does not have the means to achieve the acme of perfection, even some Hong Kong some links must give up reluctantly, all only strive for to plan more offerings, hope all audiences may the excuse me. The concert completes smoothly finally, the audience is also warm, goes to stand to the second half quick song part many audiences, wells up and we shakes hand before Taiwan, I and Principal also very enjoy. The only minor defect in something otherwise perfect is principal and his assistant Razzie is stolen in the liquor shop the thing, disappears the gold ornament and the computer, hoped that this situation later will again not occur.

我和校長都是在26號下午到大馬, 同機還有從香港飛過來的香港fans, 妳們真是捧場.

六點半到酒店, 七點半就開記招, 連晚飯都沒時間食.

Alan and I just arrived Malaysia on 26th afternoon, also there was HK fans having same flight with us,you guys really come over to support us.

We arrived to hotel at 6.30pm , 7.30pm starts the press conference, even we don't have time to have our dinner.

之後就立即趕去做簽名會...

Later we quickly rushed to the autograph session...

再之後十一點我們還要到988電台做直播訪問, 更在電台和一班大馬新加坡香港fans切蛋糕, HAPPY!

Then, at 11pm, we still need to have a live interview at 988 radio station. In the radio station, with a group of Malaysia,Singapore and HK fans cutting the cakes together, HAPPY!!

Second day at KL, the weather in the morning was sunny then in the afternoon without sun, then slowly became cloudy, even during the evening was having heavy raining and thunderstorm. Everywhere around the stage was wet and the rehearsal was disturbed. Luckily, after 8pm, the rain starts to stop and full dress rehearsal was successfully done. Back to the hotel room was already 12am...

I don't remember how many times we've performed at Atlantic City. I started performing there since the late 1980s with Elizabeth Lee, Ellen Chan and Lo Yuen Yan. This group can be considered...classic!

These few years I've been performing at TRUMP TAJ MAHAL. Maybe because this place has more dimension hence the sound equipment are better. The show on the 14th was not bad. There were some changes to the rundown, we changed some songs. Audiences' response? Usually the audience at the casino are get high slowly, they need warming up. We started the show after 1am and performed till 3am or 4am and ate some porridge after that. Before we knew it, dawn had arrived.

We will be performing at LV on the 20th, there will be a press conference later. LV fans, give us some response when we start the show!

We attended the press conference yesterday and went to LV at night. This time we stay at Mandalay Bay, my first time here!

The weather here is so good today!

All of you guys must remember: exams are but just one of the hurdles in life. If the results are good, of course one would be happy. However, if you did not do well, remember that exams do not represent everything. It's not the end of the world. There lies thousands or maybe even millions of obstacles in front of you. It's more important to find out why you didn't succeed.
I scored a grade D for my Chinese in my exams, definitely not a good grade. But now, I've written lyrics for hundreds of Chinese songs. Hence, no one knows what will happen in the future. Do not give up, let us be strive together!

一直以來，好想有一隻歌講關於父母/長輩/老人家，但一來歌詞很難寫，寫得太深入好容易變成老套，太表面又不夠到肉，二來亦不容易找到合寫的melody，這件事，一直放在心裡。

今年年初和林夕飯局，將這個idea 和他研究，原來他也想寫，於是我們一直在等可以寫這個題材的melody出現，但收歌收到第五、六隻了還沒有，正在想可能又要等下一張碟時，Vincent Chow交來了這首，感謝夕爺在電話裡邊說很難寫，但又邊不辭勞苦地修改又修改，最後成了這首我超喜歡的...

All along, I wanted to have a song about parents/elderly. However, it's not easy to compose such lyrics. If it's too deep, the song might sound too traditional. But if it's too "on the surface", there won't be enough meaning in it. Second, it's not easy to a suitable melody. This issue has been in my heart for long.

Earlier this year, I met with Lam Chik and discussed this idea with him. I found out that he actually wanted to write such a song too. Hence, we both began waiting for a melody that will enable us to compose the lyrics. The fifth and sixth song came to us but nothing was suitable. While we were saying we might have to wait till the next album to do it, Vincent Chow presented this melody. Thank you to Lam Chik who told me over the phone how hard it is to write the lyrics and yet continued to edit them. In the end, this became a song that I like very much...

These two days, to Guangzhou, were an international palace level automobile brand are two salt merchants to develop, each field sang five songs. US Tour ~ Toronto + Atlantic City

We reached Toronto on June 7. Honestly speaking, all of us were very worried over Alan's injury. Fortunately, our performance on the June 8 was successful. We made some changes to the dancing, especially the Sports part where Sunny took over Alan as the movements were not suitable for him. Other dances that were much easier like "Don't Be Afraid", "Na Na Sheng" were performed by Alan himself. He was very professional!

Toronto fans? As usual, they're great! They came in punctually, applauded at the right moment, shouted loudly when they were supposed to and even danced with us when we sang fast songs. Hence, the atmosphere was great! Thanks to everybody!

We need not work for several days after our performance. I played golf with ex-colleagues of Polygram, worked out at the gym and walked around. I will always visit Rodneys, their Oysters and Clams are great!

Tonight, we will be performing our second show at Atlantic City. US Fans, are you ready?

Alan and I reached Toronto airport safely at 6am yesterday. We rehearsed in the afternoon. Toronto fans, see you tonight! If you want us to encore and sing longer, you gotta shout louder!

I've been lazy for the past 2 weeks, did not leave any messages nor blog..hehe, sorry!
Though i did not leave any messages, I continued to work. We are working on a Live DVD, meeting to discuss about the new album, filming TVB's version of A Million Years of Loneliness, Basic Law show, Be My Guest, and tomorrow's autograph session of course!
I've also returned to watching soccer and playing golf but am not in the best of form.
Alan & Hacken concert world tour?
It's not yet confirmed. For now, we will definitely go to US, KL and parts of China. It should start around May, will inform everybody when the dates are confirmed.

the picture above is from the last night, taken right after we had sung finish the last song 'Don't say Goodbye', it was taken by me and Alan when the moving platform was still descending. its the first picture we'd taken after the whole series of shows. we have that "it's over" smile, it's the picture that i like a lot, it just seems to contain the good times we have together- a memorabilia.

after the show, will be resting for the next few days. turning on my cell phone, computer, and just relax and play! however after 12 shows, the scenes of the hard work that we have put in for the past 3 months will just drift in n out in my mind. i would like to thank all those who came to support, ur cheer/support, clapping, red packets, flowers, fresh fruits, gifts, for alan, me, Emily, Ryan, we have received all of them. the last 2 songs that we sang '無言感激' (no words to describe our gratitude) and 'Don’t say Goodbye' represents the voices of our heart! (in other words, thank you!)

starting to munch on snacks now, haha! but... i will still be going to the Gym, let's see how long i will be able to maintain my body... :)

We finally completed our first 10 shows. As the coliseum need to be inspected, we had 2 days of rest. (i don't know why in the middle of their concert they need to inspect..) Yesterday, I immediately took Ryan to Disneyland for the whole afternoon. When I was performing, I had very little time to spend with him.

So far, I feel that the 10th show is the most smooth flowing. In terms of solo, dancing, speech and even the "ribbons", they were all OK. If we could sing longer it would be perfect but once we're over 11.45pm, we will get fined and the boss will become "angry". Hence...why not you guys "collaborate" with Alan's fans for the last show to shout louder or refuse to leave. Alan and I will standby below the stage. Will we be able to overshoot the time...? We don't know when it will be the next time we have a concert together again!

3 more days, I feel like eating Jack&Jill, ice cream and I've already bought them, haha! It's been a long time since I played soccer and golf, and look for my friends...soon, soon!

i did feel a bit of sad when i read the part he said nobody knows when it will be the next time they have a concert again..ah, it just makes the concert more precious!

Last night was the start of the 300 day countdown to the 2009 Asian Games, hence Chef Executive Donald Tseng, his wife, VIP athletes and a team of HK athletes attended our concert. I felt very honoured to have Mr. Tseng watch our concert!

When we came to the encore part, Alan pulled Michael Miu & Jamie and Chilam & Anita on stage to sing. The atmosphere was great. 4 more shows left, I'm starting to feel a little unwilling to let go...

it was while singing "hope" on the raised platform that i "KICKed" the "colourful band" for 2 nights, made me feel bad. :(
there was no choice since accidents are bound to happen during live shows. however last night as i was more open when swinging the thing n managed to fing it smoothly, i hope that for the next 6 nights i would be able to do the same.

for my own solo part, i was originally meant to sing the rearranged version of "一生不愛別人", however as fans wanted to listen to newer songs it has been changed to either "今夕是何年 "or "萬年孤寂". but to tell the truth, the new version of "一生不愛別人" has a better response for the audience.

truely thank andy for coming to watch. whenever i m having a concert he will come and support me and give me various views, thank you very much!

last night B哥哥 and 健仔 came, joey said that she would be coming to watch, also, "school mates" from universal may appear on the last 2 nights.

the first show is over!

on the whole, the show was OK, however as there's some space in the middle, it made things a little bit confusing. as it was the first night, thus the audiences were not that high, in addition, there were a few VVVIP who attended last night's show and they had to go on stage. we brought forward the "plug" of the east asian games themesong, however some problems occurred...however we cannot use this as an excuse. we would try to make some changes for tonight, there will also be some changes to the rundown. hope that as the shows progress each night, it gets even better!

There isnt any big problem with my leg, just a minor cramp last night. but, hope that it only cramp for 1 night, please do not come again, its terrible!

For the concert this time, me and mr tam have started to ”度橋” a few months before,what do we want to keep? what new things do we want to show to the audiences? what will we be dancing? singing? how much time do we need for the practices? are the people laughing in response? how is the stage design? these are questions that everyone has been thinking about.

As the audience attending the "left lun right lee" show may vary from those attending my own or alan's own concert, the age range will be wider, hence during the rundown we were all hoping for the closest estimate, to put into consideration/satisfy(the needs) all the audiences who came to see the show. hope that everyone who attends the show will enjoy themselves!

last year i have tried staying in San Francisco for only 36 hrs, this time its even more "geng－劲“ [difficult/worse?], i was in LV for only 34 hrs. within 3 days i flew from HK~LV~HK and it was all within less than 5 hrs apart, 勁呀 ["ging ah" = so cool or so great]！

but the whole thing was pretty tiring, earning money is never easy! when i arrived in LA we were told that we were unable to travel by car to LV due to the snow storm, causing jams on the road. thus we had to travel through the domestic flight. however traveling by air caused us to wait for 7 hrs before we could board the plane. in the end, according to american time, it was 25th dec, at about 9 plus (in the night) that we finally reached LV. upon arrival we had to follow up with the rehearsal.

the show on the 26th started off pretty slowly as the audiences in the US always do. previously in the Atlantic City show it was also like that. it was only after half an hour later did the audience become more enthusiastic. from the second half till the encore were the best moments. the whole show only ended at 1120. i sincerely thank those who came to show their support and also those who specially flew in to watch the show, especially sister Gigi and my secondary school principal Yu sir.

after the show, due to the different time zone, i couldn't sleep till 6 in the morning when we were leaving for the airport to take the 0725 plane from LV to SF and then back to HK. however the "black" lady at the immigration was to "warm" in "greeting" us, she was too "detailed" when going through our luggage, that she wasted a lot of time...eventually causing us to miss our flight!

hence we had to rush + check for any other flights, purchasing the air tickets again, checking in again, and of course check in our luggage again, for another flight at 0930, hoping that we would reach SF punctually at 1110. after that we would have to rush for the original connecting flight at 12 back to HK. we only had 45 mins interval for the transit and the flight was at a different terminal,so we had to rush like mad people to make it in time for our connecting flight...luckily, it all went the right way, we reached HK on 28th at about 7pm, according to HK time.

this story has taught us a lesson, next time....if u are going or coming back from US, u MUST remember to be at the airport much earlier, much earlier, much earlier,much earlier,much earlier, much earlier, much earlier, much earlier, much earlier, much earlier, much earlier, much earlier, much earlier, much earlier, much earlier, much earlier.

Yesterday the concert of Alan and I has start selling tickets, the first day's result...hehe! It's very great, thanks for the support!

I received many birthday cakes for this year and all of them tasted great. This one has the nicest physical appearance (the one in the pic), thanks to Sabatini's fat boy Ah Man. (dunno who..?)

I did not rest even though it was my birthday. I was very happy at today's show, I could see the astronauts close up and sing with them. One of them even asked Alan while on stage, saying that he would like to go see our concert next year. Alan even exchanged numbers with him on the spot. Of course, I too hope that he will come! It's an honour!

Actually, I appeared in another show before this. It was the TVB Road Safety show which will be out around mid or end December. The wind was blasting hence it was colder than the venue of the astronauts' show. I was the first one to sing, but before that, I was exposed to 25 minutes of strong wind in the stand by open area...

Today's party on the ship was kinda funny, really have a seasick feel but it's fresh. Don't need everytime be at a hotel, look so lou zheng. (means dun need to be everytime just at the same place, seems like so faithful to one place only,something like that la.)

Wahhh! what a busy weekend!

Uploaded some pictures from recent events.
Have been really busy for the past few weeks, went to Macau for 2 days, on the 20th of December will go back for the celebrations (the china-hk thingy), so on the 9th, was helping them in a photo-shoot to help promote the event.
Have also begun preparations for the "左麟右李" concert, working out and keeping fit, so everyone should stop sending me any kind of snacks, haha!
"When it is evening" has been decided to be the second plug, it should plug within 2 days. there are many upcoming shows and definitely many opportunities for me to sing this song.

I've been real busy recently, hence the lack of messages.
Gonna tie up the new album. Spent 2 weeks' time writing lyrics for the song Eason composed. Also, I need to rehearse for "Jade Singers" (the tvb celebration show). On 15th Nov, I have a concert in KL, and of course, there's more...it's 90% confirmed that there will be an "Alan & Hacken" concert. It will be around the 6th or 7th day in the Lunar New Year Calendar. We don't know how many shows we can have, it depends on the East Asian Games. What I can say now is, this time round, the stage effects and even me and alan..we will give everyone lots of "surprise"!
The photos from KL, I will upload them for everyone. Thanks to KL fans for the gifts.
As for the blog, I have no idea what's wrong and no time to fix it yet. Maybe next week!
Tonight's Jade Singers TVB Celebrations, I will appear with Alan in the last part. It can be said that this is the first time we appear on TV after we've come together again, see you tonight!

Went to Yangjiang City for a show last night, it's a program by the Southern Television Station. it took about 4.5 hours to reach by car and another 4.5 hours to come back. it's about the same time it takes to go to japan! sang a total of 3 songs, very happy to be able to meet fans from Yangjiang City for the first time. but the time spent in the car was rather long!

Actually at last week's 世博會's (shanghai expo) press conference...

was interviewed together with Khalil Fong by Scoop, touch and Milk...

As for the new album, hope that all the recording sessions would be done by next week.

On the 1st and 2nd of october was at macau doing a show at Forum de Macau (綜藝館), was there to celebrate national day with residents in macau.
For the past few years i have been going over there for shows, of course that includes the recent concert in june, hehe, i think there will be another show in december! i love macau, it may be because when i was young, we always went over. plus, both of my parents were from macau, i always have that kind of cordial feeling.
Whenever i visit macau, i will have to do one thing, that is to takeaway 氹仔水蟹粥 (some crab porridge). i dont know why, the crab porridge here is just so delicious. the best thing that happened once was that, i tried taking away(da pau) a big pot of it and brought it back to hk. i had to eat it all that night as it would be not that nice if it was left overnight!

"JSG"? it's either the coming wednesday or the wednesday after next.
"歌星賀台慶" (the annual celebrations for singers)? hehe...i think there should be...there will also be a part...hehe! the recording progress? it's still rather slow, next will be recording Jan's song.

the sanseng (metro radio) show, actually it was pretty fun, was able to sing various songs of other singers, besides that i have to thank all the guests who have helped out, thank you very much!

Within 3 days, we filmed 2 MVs for "她慈我悲" ("She is kind, but i am sad"), on monday was at a pretty quiet Club (not many ppl patronise) in tsim sha tsui to film the TVB version, it was filmed indoors, and was very relevant (i think he refers to the place) , the lead actress goes back to africa...forced to break up...but reluctant...it only took around 5hrs , was pretty relaxing.

On wednesday filmed the universal version, however it "wasnt as relaxing/easy", early in the morning went to fanling (somewhere in the new territories) where there was a farm, to film the outdoors scene. as the whether was pretty good, so...suntanned till so black (dark)! this time the director is my good friend ~ Benny lau wai hung, its my first time working with him for an MV...it was pretty enjoyable, actually i'm not too sure what he was filming, but it doesn't really matter, whatever it is, i just have to cooperate and do what the director says. i have faith in him, it will most likely be a good one...! haha ! it will be shown in about 2 days time, really looking forward to it!

Mid-Autumn Festival is coming, wish everyone a happy mid-autumn festival!
received lots of presents these few days, there were all sorts of mooncakes, snacks, tea leaves, lanterns and many many more. they were from fans from singapore, malaysia, mainland and hk, thank you very much!
the progress of the recording has been pretty slow, only finished 4.5 songs. today finished recording hins', it could have been better, so will be re-singing it again next week. however those that were already done - justin, khalil, louis, were all extremely well done!

actually i didn't know that i would be on the barry show (radio program) at 1600, before that at 1400 still had to do a Mini live and also record Donald's show. i will try to bring along khalil's and louis' songs to see if they would be able to broadcast it.

i wasn't sick at all, its just that i didn't have enough sleep. helping to look after Ryan + the typhoon blowing towards my house, for the past week, i didn't manage to sleep for a consecutive 5 hours each day. that's why while singing last night my voice sounded a little coarse halfway through the concert. but after a day's rest it would be back to normal again, u guys do not need to worry too much. how did u all feel about the show? i felt that my part was OK la! of course it would have been better if my voice didn't sound so coarse, but using that kind of rough voice to sing "你在何地" gave the song a bit more feel! actually wanted to sing more side tracks, but if i were to do that the organizers would lodge a complaint against me!

actually i was quite surprised, it was said that the typhoon would strike sai-kung district, fortunately there was not much damage, the wind wasn't that strong, so even if i had to go and record "TVB大班月餅show" it was really not that dangerous. (the show would most probably be aired on 4th of september)
It is finally the last day of the olympics, the chinese team in this olympics is really "great/ very good", even though there were a few events in which the gold medal was accidentally lost, for example yesterday nights- men's 10m diving, liu xiang's withdrawal from the hurdles, etc., but they still managed a total of 40 to 50 gold medals. america usually insists on use of "total number of medals" to determine the winner, and they "claim" that they are the best, it's really quite funny though!
In the afternoon will be at TVB studio to do the basketball match, later on will do the closing ceremony, see u later!

i arrived in beijing in the afternoon on 7th august. although i have been to beijing so many times, however it feels different this time. the whole city is in an "olympic" mood, posters and banners with olympic slogans can be found everywhere, all the workers /helpers /volunteers were polite, wearing a smile on their face always, enthusiastic in helping us in every aspect (or when there are problems) and they can even speak english fluently! in addition the number of cars on the roads have been minimized, the air quality is also better now...a little bit (haha!) , the breath-taking Bird's Nest and Water Cube, even at the place where we work, IBC, the canteen food is pretty good too, traffic, even the accomodation is superb. the only thing is that the internet access at the media village is pretty inconvenient and the rates are really expensive, that's why i can only update my blog when i return to HK!
On the 8th was present to watch the opening ceremony, felt extremely excited! china has finally done it! no matter where u are watching it live or on tv, u should feel satisfied, after the show that night, i asked a lot of foreigners who were staying in the media village like me, a vast majority used the same english phrase to describe~AMAZING!
Being a chinese person (part of china), at that moment, i felt really proud! of course, i took lots of pictures, will gradually upload them here as well as hackenleenet.com to share with everyone.

the above pictures are from last sunday's TVB press conference. time really flies. the olympics is just a few months away, being chinese, being able to be one of the hosts at the coming olympics, i'm extremely honoured, especially on 8th august, i will be reporting live at the opening ceremony of the olympics, WOW!!!

talking about the opening ceremony, actually i have reported live before at the 96 games in atlanta, but i believe that the feeling will be different this time, it will be even even even more exciting, its our own territory! really looking forward to it!

this time i will be staying in beijing for 4 to 5 days, its not what the newspapers has reported, 3 wks, i will be mainly reporting the news for the first few days, after that will be back in hong kong to continue with the recording for the new album. as for whether i will return to beijing again, or will just remain in hong kong to report (about the beijing olympics) , it all depends on how fast the recording goes.

i have been working with "Qunhao clothes-ware" for a few years, i'm very happy to be able to be the spokesperson. actually in the recent years i have been helping them in some photoshoots, and also a TVC advertisement. i believe a lot of fans in the mainland have already seen it before. last wednesday we went to Da Ya Wan for the winter-ware photoshoot, later on u guys will be able to see these photos at :

On top of that, i have also asked a techinician from APPLE regarding mainland fans having trouble accessing this website, they told me that indeed it will be a little bit slower. this is because to reach mainland it has to first pass through hongkong then taiwan and finally will it be able to reach apple..., all fans in mainland....u guys can only....be more patient !

how did i celebrate today?
actually, there was nothing special, i think it's about the same as yours. went to eat buffet in the afternoon, haha, sometimes i like the feeling of having a buffet, where there are tons of different delicious food placed in front of you. after eating, was at home the whole time with my parents.

the feeling of being a father and celebrating father's day for the first time is just normal (okay...nothing special he thinks.. For the past week i was in macau, busy preparing for the concert, band rehersal, practicing the dance steps, meetings and many more. it seems like the beginning of this year all over again (when he had to prepare for his concert in hk ). the concert in macau this time should be pretty fun, a large portion of the band members will be present, it's really original (as in similar to the HK one). hope that the fans in macau, mainland china, and of course those from hong kong who specifically came over to watch, will be happy and excited.
actually i have already done a p/c at the venetian resort , the organisation even gave me a Scholes jersey, but i have yet to send it back to hongkong.

I am home already.
The concert was going smooth last night, saw so many fans, no matter if you are from Macau, the Mainland or Hong Kong, all of you were coming to my show even in the heavy rain, thanks so much. Because of terrible traffic jam and security check, all of the audience had to come to the show late and we had to start the show at 8.40pm, finally ending at 11.30pm (the organiser actually wanted us to end the show by 11.00pm), of course wanted everybody to enjoy it till the end!

Today was really busy. Early in the morning at 10am, I had to record a promotion for the legislative council for September 7. In the afternoon, I made time to attend the fundraising event, after that I had to go for band rehearsal to rehearse with over 40 musicans for June 7's Macau concert (for a few days running, i've had to dance and rehearse). These few days i believe that many hong kong artistes are occupied with many different fundraising events, so am i, what ever it is if we have money we can donate generously otherwise we can try to help in many other different ways, i know that many fan club members have made donations, thank you everyone for responding to the fan club's action- to raise funds. On saturday night's TVB donation drive, actually i was already scheduled to appear at around 11pm, because i had to do a show in shenzhen, also as TVB was afraid that i would not be able to rush back in time, they did not arrange for me to sing any song, in the end when it was just before the news broadcast, i briefly sang a few sentences of "hong yat" (red sun), however probably because they had not much time to inform eric, that's why people thought that i would be appearing after the news!

My mood today is really good !
it has been a long time since i last watched soccer feeling so nervous, since Scholes (Žj‚Žz) scored it was very nerve wrecking, only hope that the referee would "blow the whistle" as soon as possible to end the match. ten years ago i stayed up to watch MU win, after waiting for exactly 1o yrs i really "want" to see MU in the finals, sadly i had to work and take care of my son, otherwise i would have flown to Moscow to watch the final.
also hope that in tomorrow nites match Arsenal will win leeds? ŽÔŽeæÕ—˜‹L (sorry to all leeds fans), waiting for MU to have a chance to beat Chelsea, i m really hopeful that MU will be able to have their revenge for the previous match !

on monday morning, i was on the cover (probably of some mag) out of the blue, actually when Eason and I were at TVB for the first round of jsg presentation we had already guessed that there would be people writing about us, but i never thought that it would be on the front page! thank you very much!
who would have known that 2 days later there would be more (reports), but to tell the truth this magazine is also not written that badly , but the heading was a little bit scary, i think it might have scared the elderly as well as the aunties! (? lol) There's no need for u guys to worry, Ryan is just going through a routine check up and getting a vaccination, there's nothing wrong, also...there's nothing to be unhappy about when i'm on the front page!
talking back about work, last sunday's show at the stadium was pretty fun, was very happy to be able to work with the violinist- guo rong (Šs—u).

for this coming "bao liang " i will be playing the piano and singing "where have the flowers gone" , it's been a long time since i last played the piano, it's rather scary!

last night...hehe...was extremely nervous, during the rehearsal it was still okay, once it was live then... ! actually i have already performed live for so many times...but still...playing in front of 10,000 ppl and a few hundred thousand ppl , it was really a big difference, it affected my performance for " i can't sing " which i sang wrongly (in some parts), but, i still enjoyed that nerve wrecking feeling.

haven't been updating my blog for a long time, recently i'm not so busy, however i still wrote so little, haha!
just filmed the TVB olympic MV, actually we filmed for 2 days, the first day (for filming) was last week, every singer had to choose or was given one of the olympic sports, everyone thinks that i will choose soccer, that's why i chose shooting, how can i always let u guess (accurately) what i chose! :)
As for last night it was very boisterous (rowdy, high spirited), although it felt hotter, but it was still pretty fun, there was a dance instructor? ! also, for every sentence there was a specific movement, when the MV is released we will be able to tell who was not coordinating with the rest... there is a big chance that it might be me... !

as for the concert VCD/DVD/Blu-ray, the 3rd version is still being edited, will try to be as fast as possible !

Coming back to Hong Kong (from US), I finally received this long awaited gift to myself, the Panerai Radiomir Black Seal watch. Currently, only 2 pieces of this watch is available in Hong Kong. Thanks to my good friend Eric So that I managed to get it. I feel like showing it off in front of Kam Pui Tat as soon as possible (he has been longing for it too), haha!

Besides me, Ryan has presents too. I bought him lots of clothes and toys from the US. Also, thanks to Adidas. Not only did they sponsor me, they sponsored my family too. Ryan's children clothes and shoes are very interesting, and he looks very cute in them!

As for the show in Atlantic City, the audience was much more passionate than I expected to be. That's because casino shows are usually more peaceful. All thanks to passionate US fans! Unfortunately, both shows' timing only allowed for a little over 2 hours. We planned everything according to the HK concert which lasted about 3 hours. I could do nothing, as I sang and heard (through my ear monitor) the casino's Fire Department members harshly requesting us to finish the show within 2 hours. If not, for every minute that we exceed, we'd be fined USD 20,000! Hence, we have to reduce songs. Frankly speaking, we could've performed 5 to 6 songs for the encore!

I really hope to perform longer in the US next time. Well, to be able to complete a whole show that is. I flew for over 10 hours, fans drove for several hours and a 130min show is just too short. If I have the chance to perform a full concert at Madison Square Garden, I'd be willing to do so even if i get paid half!

The CD for the concert in HK will be out in the beginning of April, followed by the VCD, DVD and Blu-ray. I'm looking forward to the Blu-ray version too. Hope that everyone of you will support!

Toronto, it was really cold there! As i am extremely afraid of the cold weather, Toronto was like a giant refrigerator, if there was nothing special i will remain indoors, everyone can see the above pictures because i wanted to show u guys what it was like so i risked the cold weather and step out of the hotel, however i must admit that the snowing toronto was really beautiful.

on the 19 and 20 we still haven't left, because we had to make the visa for America,
fans in America please do not ask why did i had to make it so late, i don't even know the reason myself! (if it couldn't be made on time i also dunno what to do)

yesterday 21 reached NY, went to my favourite restaurant Peter Luger Steak House, the porterhouse steak here is the best steak i have ever eaten in America, as such it was rather difficult to make reservations, we tried to book 2 weeks in advance but there was still no place, waiters â€“'Å½©'R'nÅ“Â¡ (lol i dun get this part) , they don't even accept card, cash only! no choice, it was a good meal, i believe that i will continue to go there the next time.

We reached Atlantic City at night, i had a good sleep~ finally!!!!!!!!!!!

The first day arrived, after woke up from sleep, this is the Toronto that I saw.

Already arrived at Toronto, I slept for 10 hours during the flight, when I arrived it's already midnight. But I still haven't changed my timezone into the timezone here, until now I still can't sleep more than 4 hours, really can't sleep well! :(

A group of us went to Japan to have some fun after the concert. Initially, it was very happy, until the third day. Maybe this was accumulated (had been building up, cuz of him working so hard 4 the concert?) ...the cold struck me again. It began with coughing, followed by a sore throat and in the end...fever. I had to remain in bed in the hotel, what a disappointment!

After I returned to Hong Kong, I went to the Chinese doctor immediately to clear up myself. On Saturday, I will be singing "Everyday is Valentine's". Next week we'll be doing the MV and also to rehearse for the US show... !
I have to "fully" recover soon!

In the blink of an eye, the concert will begin in 2 weeks' time, it's really fast!

Recently, I have been rehearsing dancing, dancing, and dancing! It's very funny as in the first place, we wanted to do a concert which has music as the highlight and have a band which consists of about 10+ people. Lots of songs' music have been recomposed and they have a very "live" feeling. Little did we knew that as we add on the different items, the dance item came on...and I have to dance...alot...of...dances! (of course, the dance steps are according to my standard)
Hence...it was a tough thing rehearsing!

Hope to do a good show!

Rehearsing for song items was a grand scene. More than 10 people rehearsed at the same time and we had to rent a special place to do it. Inclusive of the band's hourly fees, for each time we rehearsed, a few hours added up to a few million dollars! Not a minute can be spared indeed!

2 more weeks, I will continue to work hard!

Last saturday, I did 4 shows at the new airport and I went to 2 places to perform each day. On saturday night, I had to attend RTHK and it turned out that I had to go to 3 places! How fantastic! Hence after the show, I returned home immediately. I really did not have the energy to attend the celebration party at Universal. Sorry Sorry! :)

The show will soon start, feeling excited & nervous!
This time's show, the music part, I really feel it's fun because of sufficient band people and instruments, there are lots of songs we can re-arrange. "Hope" from 4 parts to 3 parts, "Tin Shui Wai Shing", "Ching Fei Shoa Yi" so on. last time used the computer to do it, but now can use real people instead, hehe...better not say too much. :) So it's going to be different feeling, can sing with new feeling! Also will sing some songs that i have not in previous concerts, which u all won't think that I'll sing!
Dance? Really must...work hard, harder, even hardest!

The concert has begun!

I've never felt this nervous before! When I came on stage, it felt as if I was performing for my first concert in 1993! Very exciting!

We rehearsed many items, had to practise many things. Songs with dances include: Get Together, Grand Time, Wake Up Early, Old Love Has Become A Dream and a fast songs medley. I had to play the piano, and many songs were re-composed and I had to get used to them. Hence, I was looking forward to the response on the first night. And naturally...I was very nervous for the first half, as if I didn't even know how to smile! The second half was better, I was more into the concert and natural.

The 2nd night was more relaxing. Unfortunately, my contact lens had to drop, and it affected my singing for the song Grand Concert Hall! Things are really unpredictable! As pointed out by Andy Lau, we made certain changes to the rundown, which also made things smoother. I still feel that the 2nd night was better (except for Grand Concert Hall). XYZ@#$!
Hope that tonight's performance will be better!

This is the white costume which has a hole at the back. When I was singing Fluttering Flowers ("Fei Fa") in the third show, the fan behind me was blowing dry ice. This was how I got a cold. After singing the song, my nose started to drip, it's even faster than an injection!

I took western medicine that night, and took the usual traditional chinese medicine on the second day. (fortunately, the chinese medicine shop was opened). My health is under control and my voice is not very much affected. However, my stamina has weakened. After dancing for the fast songs during the encore, fans still wanted to here "Good Actor", I felt as if I could die after singing!

On the fourth show, lots of friends came to support!

The happiest thing was to see Wing C, I think 阿熹 should be very anxious tonight! Haha! However, he is really hard working. He has to play the piano and instruct. Everyone gotta applause louder for him!

I actually forgot the lyrics for "I Can't Sing" last night. I've sang this song over a hundred times...I wonder why that happened? Maybe I was too deep into the song!

Also, yesterday's show was a bit rushed. Well, no choice, as we didn't want to be fined again $$$! We had been fined for 3 shows, and the boss is saying something...

The new song "Everyday is Valentine's Day", is it nice?

Before this had said that on 13/2 Saturday we still need to wait for the pipa and suona teachers to finish the show at the grand hall to come here, at last they arrived at 10.45pm, it really scared me! In this 7th night (i think should be the 6th night coz with Gigi), this night my condition was the worst, because I took too many medicines, chinese and western, only because to quickly recover, a day take twice turned to a day take 3 times, my strength and voice all had some problem, but I already did my best,if I did anything wrong please forgive me.

2/14 the 7th show,my condition started to came back,because the virus had started to leave me, before this I had a sore throat, headache, bone pain, etc. were already gone, now only left a little runny nose and cough. Hence,this night, especially the last 30 minutes,my skills are back, I believe tonight will be much better!

Joey was really great,actually she was sick too but she still watched the whole show and also went up the stage to sing, afterward still need to go for injection,''In life, having a true friend is really great''!

Because of a lot of people still haven't been able to buy the tickets and my boss already settled all the technical problems (heard that they dont need to clear the bottom stage so can use for another day), so decided to add a last show, total 11 shows, really thanks for all of your support!

Of course I know that this will make many people that bought the day 17th tickets to be disappointed, so I think all the aunties are gonna start to blame me because before this I had confirmed that the last show will be on 17th, I understand...but no other choice...I really don't know! What I can do is,I definately will treat the 17th's show as my last show to perform for all of you.

Already started to practice my dance, songs,and hold numerous meetings, we do all this also because we hope that I can have a concert that I like and also everyone likes, thanks to the 132,000 fans.

Last 2 days, very happy because I can celebrate my happiness with you all, especially the fans at the live [awards shows],thanks for your yelling, full of energy,and so I also sing with full of confidence.

On yesterday's Tung Wah Charity Show, things were not very successful when I was singing "Goodbye Concert Hall". Those who have watched will know that I was standing on a moving stage (erm, not very sure about the track part..i haven't watch his performance, lol) and there wasn't any monitor. Hence, I had to put on 2 earphones. However, the sound of the piano was not very concentrated and I could not figure out the key properly. For the first part of my singing, I sang under "a key I wasn't very sure of" type of situation. Until "maybe things cannot light up" (one line of the lyrics), a short piece of music came by and I was finally able to hear the key. When I rewatched my performance at home, I felt a little strange at the start. There was a flaw, but it couldn't be helped. Live programs are like this, I can only make up for it with tonight's performance!

Today, I went to the Hong Kong International Races 2007 event. As I made my way there, the car suddenly broke down while I was in the middle of Tseung Kwan O tunnel. It was not a very good sight. Luckily, the tunnel crew had high efficiency, for they arrived within 10 minutes and towed my car away. Not only that, they flagged a taxi for me as well. Finally, I was able to rush down Sha Tin Race course before 11.30am. I was nearly scared to death! (and nearly shocked the organisations to their deaths as well)

Birthday, it was meant to be a happy occasion.

Yesterday, I took Ryan for a check up at the pediatrician's. He's very healthy- grew taller by 7cm and weighs 10 pounds and 10 ounces. He's in good condition. At night, I went to have my meal. When I returned home, there was a birthday cake waiting for me...
Little did I know that I would be shocked when I flipped the papers this morning. A blog that was not meant to be viewed by the public appeared in the headlines of C1! (the section where they have all the entertainment stuff) Frankly speaking, less than 20 people knew about this blog and these people are our closest ones and friends. We've never thought about letting others see this. Hence, I really wish to know who the informer is.

Of course, we do have some responsibility as well. If we wanted to keep it a secret, we shouldn't even have published a blog. Let's take it as a lesson learned!

I do not blame the papers. I just feel a little...scared, they're (the paparazzi) really powerful...they enter every pore and exist everywhere!

I can hardly contain my excitement about this good news: the first day of booking tickets through the credit card...yielded excellent results! Compared to the previous concert, tickets sales increased by one time on the first day! Hurry if you wanna buy them! Of course, I would like to thank all of you who have purchased the tickets. I will definitely do my best for this concert!
Those friends that have spent a lot of time calling (for tickets) but still have not gotten through, it's a shame, hope you'll continue to try hard, please add oil, many thanks for the support!

Back to the fan club party in Dec 2, I was very happy to see fans who have supported me for so many years. Some of them have married, gave birth and some even brought along their boyfriends. There were overseas fans as well, and fans who have recently joined the fan club. I welcome you guys to bring along your friends, relatives and family along the next time.

I received lots of presents for me, Emily, and Ryan. I wanted to take a picture of every present and then post them up here, but there were just too many presents! If I were to do so, it would probably take hours. I really do not have the time and can only thank you all!

After the party, I went to a recording for the Roadshow. Eric Suen has been my good friend for years, Ah K is a new friend. As for Kelvin Kwan...he was only a few years old when I knew him! I once worked with his father at Polygram, his father is an excellent producer and I was a newbie singer. No one knew that I would work with his son more than 10 years later!

Lastly...that magazine...sigh!

Why? We are all working in the entertainment circle, why must they be so bad?

We are fine, we do not have any werid diseases, can only blame the WEIRD BOOK!

On Monday night, everyone prepared a lot of roses, nice clothes, musical instruments, went to CK's Chai Wan studio, took pictures for the "Your Hacken Concert Hall" concert poster.

Behind me are some musicians in my concert. Gathering six of us to take a picture together already was a very difficult matter because they all often go to different countries to perform, from the last mid-month until now only on Monday everyone was present, finally, we took [pictures] for 5 hours, finally done, of course the one above was just a reference, the official one maybe will be much nicer.

Although this time is New Song + Special , only 3 new songs, can't believe that need many many many days to complete it! Through yesterday's hard work, finally completed!

The last completed song called ,composed by Edmond Tsang, lyric by Lam Yuo Ning, it's a soft piano + vocal song, it's a big test of skills in terms of playing music and singing, hope I could sing it live on next year's concert, sure it will be awesome!

About the release date? End of november! TV commercial already settled, maybe won't change...gua!
